Kraljica Elizabeth se baš i poput nas tokom novogodišnjih i božičnih praznika trudi da dom poseduje elegantnu i blještavu atmosferu koja simbolizuje sreću, zdravlje, prosperitet i ljubav, a svake godine joj neizbežno to polazi za rukom.
Dom kraljice Elizabeth je poslednje 2 godine veći deo vremena provodila u zamku Windsor koji je trenunto u potpunosti okićen u božićnom ruhu.
Tradicionalna crveno-zlatna jelka visoka je 7 metara u sali Svetog Đorđa, gde su Meghan Markle i princ Harry imali kraljevsko venčanje i predstavili svetu sina Arčija, nije izostala ni ove godine.
Veruje se da su božićna drvca dobijena iz parka za zamak Windsor još od vladavine kraljice Victorije (1837–1901).
U ovakvom gracioznom božićnom dekoru neće uživati samo kraljica Elizabeth. Prisustvo posetilaca biće moguće od 3. januara kada će imati priliku da vide ukrašeni zamak iz prve ruke. Turistima je dozvoljeno da obilaze apartmane, koji su odvojeni od privatnih odaja Elizabeth, a kažu da bi čak mogli da sretnu i samu kraljicu.
Osim svečane dekoracije, posetioci zamka Windsor imaće priliku da vide kostime koje su nosile buduća kraljica i njena sestra princeza Margaret tokom božićnih predstava iz doba Drugog svetskog rata.
Sakupljeni po prvi put, kostimi će biti izloženi u Vaterlo odaji, gde su pantomime prvobitno izvedene pre 80 godina.
